NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- On Good Morning Connecticut Monday, we spoke with ABC News reporter Diana Alvear who is on the scene in Oklahoma, where tornadoes ravaged several towns.

Latest News this morning: The National Weather Service's unusual step of warning people more than 24 hours in advance of a possible "high-end, life-threatening event" is credited with saving lives as tornadoes raked the Midwest and Plains. Five people were killed in Woodward, in northwest Oklahoma, where the town's 20 outdoor tornado sirens were knocked out by lightning. (AP) Story Link
