HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Any day trip to Hartford should include a visit to Bushnell Park where you will find a vintage treasure awaiting you -- the carousel.
Housed inside a pavilion a 1914 carousel whirls round and round. Adorned with 48 hand-carved wooden horses, two chariots and a Wurlitzer organ, it greets adults and kids alike for just $1 a ride.
The carousel was brought to Hartford from Ohio in 1974.
Made by carousel craftsmen Stein and Goldstein, the Bushnell Park carousel is only one of three of its type left in existence.
