WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) -- It's a stately house of worship. The First Church in Windsor is the oldest in Connecticut and one of the oldest congregational churches in the world.
First Church traces its roots to the year 1630 and to Plymouth, England, where a small group of men and women first sailed to their colony in Massachusetts.
By the late 1700's internal strife, growing pains and even mother nature eventually molded the church, resulting in its present-day location on Palisado Avenue.
Inside, beautiful stained glass windows adorn the walls overlooking simple, boxed pews with its own history to tell.
Now present-day parishioners can look forward to another 275 years of history to tell on their own.
Take a look at some of the Report It photos we received in November, 2012.
