    (WTNH) -- It's no surprise cats kill birds and small rodents, but billions of 'em?

    Gawker reports "according to a report  from the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute and the Fish and Wildlife Service, cats kill an average of 2.4 billion birds and 12.3 billion small mammals a year."
