Holiday wine selections

New Haven (WTNH) - Brett Clugston from the Litchfield Saltwater Grille joined News Channel 8 @ Noon with some wine suggestions for the holidays.
Smooth medium bodied Pinot Noirs and earthy Syrah's are great matches for holiday turkey, ham, roast beef, and sirloins.
Try the white wine Gewurztraminer instead of summery Pinot Grigio's or Sauvignon Blanc's. Gewurztraminer is spicy and has a body that can stand up to hearty fall dishes.
Last, from my favorite producer Randall Grahm is a dessert wine Le Vol des Anges, translated "The Angels Flight." This sweet chardonnay is the most delicious ending to your holiday evening and should be enjoyed by the fire!
