Kristen Cusato

On Nov. 8th, 2011, Kristen announced she was leaving News 8. "After 22 years in the business, I am leaving TV," she said via twitter. "I will be the Southwest CT Regional Dir. of the Alzheimer's Assoc. Love you all v. much!"

It’s always better the second time around.

Kristen Cusato is very pleased to be back home in Connecticut, anchoring Good Morning Connecticut, Monday through Friday.

Kristen's career started at Cable 6 TV in Middletown, NY. She went on to KCBD in Lubbock, Texas and then spent 9 years at WTNH as an anchor/reporter. She was most recently in San Diego, working at KUSI-TV.

While in sunny San Diego, Kristen flew with the Blue Angels, emceed several music events and concerts, and served on the San Diego Music Foundation, which produced the SD Music Awards.

She is happy to be back near her family, on the East Coast.

Kristen is a live music lover, and a big fan of the New York Yankees. Which is interesting, considering her co-anchor Chris Velardi is a Mets fan. Let the fun begin! (every morning form 5-8am!)
