FAIRFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) -- What do they say, you can't teach size. Pascal Chuwka only picked up basketball a few years ago but the Fairfield Prep gym is usually packed with people wanting to see him play.
UConn Head Coach Kevin Ollie has his eyes on him and usually everyone else in the gym does too.
"Are you 7 foot on the nose," asked News 8's John Pierson.
"Yep, 7 foot, said Chuwka.
It's hard to miss Fairfield Preps Pascal Chuwka. His size commands attention.
"What is your favorite thing to do on the court," asked News 8's Pierson.
"To block shots," said Chuwka laughing.
Rejection is a laughing matter to the Nigerian native. With a wing span of 7 foot 8, he is a road block to the rim.

Soccer was his sport back in Nigeria but about 9 months before leaving Africa he started playing basketball. He's been in the States for 3 years and his Prep teammate Tim Butala has gotten an up close look at his growth.
"I've seen him play a couple years ago and definitely he's improved in pretty much every aspect of the game. I mean, he's a huge impact on both ends of the floor," said Butala.
Chuwka says he's always looking to correct his mistakes. He watches a lot of NBA, especially his favorite player Dwight Howard.
For now he says his recruiting is wide open although he has an idea of where he'd like to go. Playing basketball is what he loves most about America.
"The way you see me work, it shows that I love basketball so much. I love playing so every time I go out on the court I try to do my best every single time," said Chuwka.
This may be hard to believe in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy, but an annual …
