(WTNH) - University of Fairfield

The women's lacrosse team at Fairfield has quite a streak going.

The Stags have not lost a regular season conference game in 5 years.

This weekend Mike Waldvogel's ladies capped off another 6-0 mark in the MAAC conference, extending the win streak to 30 consecutive games.

University of Connecticut

UConn defensive tackle Ryan Wirth made quite an impression over the weekend.

The Huskies are looking to replace Kendall Reyes and Twyon Martin in the middle of the defensive line.

In Saturday's Blue White Scrimmage Wirth stated his case. He had 5.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 were sacks.

The red shirt senior has no starts in 9 appearances.

Southern Connecticut State University

The baseball team at Southern is enjoying another great year.

The Owls are closing in on 30 wins.

Pitching once again a strength for Tim Shea's club.

Senior Chris Zbin anchors the staf, the senior southpaw has 77 strikeouts and 5 wins. The Colchester native is drawing interest from major league teams.
