BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) - Rakim Sanders scored 15 points and Fairfield defeated Saint Peter's 61-38 Wednesday night, for its sixth straight win.

In the Stags' final home game, their seniors combined for 34 points with Sanders leading the way. Classmates Sean Crawford added 12 points, Ryan Olander five and Gary Martin two.

Olander opened the game with a three-point play as Fairfield (16-10, 11-4 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) scored the first five points, en route to a 12-2 lead.

The Peacocks (5-22, 4-12) would make it an eight-point game, 14-6, with 12:36 left but Fairfield answered with four straight to pull away.

The Stags held Saint Peter's to 5-of-24 shooting in the first half for a 33-13 lead at halftime.

Derek Needham added 11 points, going 3 of 6 from 3-point range.

Brandon Hall scored nine points to lead Saint Peter's, which lost its third straight and eighth out of its last nine.
