PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Langston Galloway scored 20 points and Saint Joseph's held Yale to 25 percent shooting as the Hawks opened their season with a 61-35 victory Monday night.

Galloway, a junior guard, scored 13 of his points in the second half, when Saint Joseph's pulled away after leading 25-15 at halftime.

He and Ronald Roberts combined for 11 points during a 17-0 Saint Joseph's run that made it 51-26 with 5:27 to play.

Halil Kanacevic added 11 points and 11 rebounds, and Roberts had 10 points and 12 rebounds for the Hawks, who will play 20th-ranked Notre Dame on Friday night in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic championship round.

Brandon Sherrod's eight points led the scoring for the Bulldogs (0-2), whose point total was their lowest since a 60-35 loss to Harvard on Jan. 27 last season.

Yale will play at Evansville on Friday night in a subregional game of the tournament.
