BALTIMORE (AP) — Kyle Vinales scored 29 points and hit two decisive free throws as Central Connecticut State beat Maryland-Baltimore County in overtime 83-82 Tuesday night.

Matt Hunter's layup with 19 seconds left in regulation put CCSU (3-2) ahead 75-73, but Aaron Morgan converted on two free throws with five seconds left to tie the game and force overtime.

In the overtime period, Vinales took over. He scored the last seven Blue Devil points— a 3-pointer, jumpshot and two free throws— to lead CCSU to victory.

UMBC (1-3) led 82-81 with 21 seconds left after a Chase Plummer free throw, but Plummer fouled Vinales with five seconds remaining and Vinales connected on both free throws to seal the win for the Blue Devils.

Matt Hunter scored 22 points, grabbed eight rebounds and recorded four steals for CCSU.

Ryan Cook scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead UMBC.
