NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — Former Connecticut basketball captain Bob Dulin has been charged with violating the terms of his probation from a 2007 sexual assault conviction.
The New Haven Register reports the 53-year-old Dulin was arrested Monday. According to an arrest warrant application, the father of four is accused of attending a high school volleyball game and a party for eighth graders at his home without first getting permission from his probation officer.
Dulin, a guard at Connecticut from 1978-81, was sentenced to 18 months in prison in 2007 after pleading no contest to second-degree sexual assault and acknowledging an improper relationship with a 17-year-old he had coached.
Dulin, whose probation was set to expire in a year, is due in Milford Superior Court on Oct. 9. Attempts to reach Dulin were not successful Monday. His phone number is not listed.
