High school football championship games

(WTNH) - It's down to the championship games in high school football and they start Friday evening.

The top ranked team in the state, Xavier, will be playing in that game against Trumbull. It's the only one of the four games Friday night.

Xavier plays Trumbull Friday at & p.m. at Rentschler Field in East Hartford.

The other games are scheduled for Saturday, also at Rentschler Field

The Class M game is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. with Hillhouse vs. New London.

The Class L pits New Canaan against Masuk at 3 p.m.

The Class S game starts at 7 p.m. with St. Joseph taking on Ansonia.

There is a chance that one of the games could be moved to West Haven if there’s a conflict with the weather.
