East Hartford, Conn (WTNH) - Three high school football title games were held at Rentschler Field in East Hartford Saturday to determine the Class S, M, and L champions.
In the Class M championship, Hillhouse beat New London in a game showing off two solid defenses. The final score was 7-0. Hillhouse has won their third state championship, and they are the first #8 seed ever to win the championship.
As for the Class L game, Masuk defeated New Canaan 50-20. After battling for the lead through the first half, Masuk scored 27 unanswered points in the second half to win it.
The Class S championship was the night game, and the title belongs to St. Joseph. They defeated Ansonia by a score of 49-28. This is their second state title in a row.
