East Haven (WTNH) - Seven East Haven High athletes have been suspended for being at a party with alcohol, the New Haven Register reported Friday.
Mike Marone, the school's athletic director, said two of them, starters on the football team, are repeat offenders and will be out for the season.
According to the Register, the players had been reinstated after they were suspended in September for being at a party with alcohol.
Five members of the girls soccer team were also suspended. None of the suspended athletes were idenfitied by Marone.
East Haven's football team is scheduled to host North Haven tonight at 7:00 p.m.
