How's the Big East stacking up?

(WTNH) -- It's time to start talking college football. That's what all the Big East coaches were doing Tuesday up in Newport.

Who's even in the Big East anymore?

How do they like the Huskies chances this year?

Who's in? Who's out?

The process has begun.

West Virginia is gone.

After this year, Pittsburgh and Syracuse head for the conference door. Enter Temple, they return to the Big East, led by CT's own Steve Addazzio.

Addazzio is a product of UConn head coach Paul Pasqualoni's coaching tree.

Expectations are modest for both schools.

The newcomers were picked to finish last, while CT, following its first bowl free season in four years, was picked to finish sixth.

Louisville was the popular choice to win the conference outright. Last year, they shared the title with Cincinnati.

Once again, the Huskies strength will lie on the defensive side of the ball. Eight starters are back from a year ago, including Trevardo Williams who had a few questions Tuesday for one of his offensive teammates.
