Lehigh routs Sacred Heart 91-77; mark for McCollum

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) -- C.J. McCollum scored 26 points, becoming the Patriot League's all-time career scoring leader, as Lehigh defeated Sacred Heart 91-77 in a nonconference game Sunday.

McCollum scored 16 of his points in the first half, when the Mountain Hawks (4-2) took a 49-33 lead. His career total is now 2,228, surpassing the 2,224 by Rob Feaster of Holy Cross from 1991-95.

Lehigh never trailed, taking the lead for good less than a minute into the game on a 3-pointer by McCollum. He made 4 of 6 3-pointers in the first half, as the Mountain Hawks shot 57.6 percent (19 of 33) in the half, including 8 of 15 on 3-pointers.

Gabe Knutson scored 11 of his 18 points for Lehigh in the first half, and Holden Greiner finished with 17 points.

Shane Gibson scored 18 points and Louis Montes and Steve Glowiak added 13 each for the Pioneers (2-3).
