New Haven, Conn. (WTNH) - While there may be a lot of action on the court, people are also being entertained and educated off the court.
There is a pink treadmill set up at the Connecticut Tennis Center. Each step counts when miles means money for breast cancer research and awareness.
Anyone can do it, walk or run, it doesn't matter.
Even the best players in the world are helping fight the fight. All the players are going to be on the treadmill to do their part in raising awareness.
In March, the cause hit close to home at the Open when the Tournment Director, Anne Worcester, was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Free mamograms were also offered at the Tennis Center.
All the proceeds go to Susan G. Koman Connecticut and Smilow Breast Center.
