State College, Pa. (AP) - Talor Battle scored 25 points and Penn State held off Sacred Heart for a 73-65 victory on Tuesday.
Stanley Pringle scored 15 points and Jamelle Cornley added 13 points and nine rebounds for the Nittany Lions (11-2), who never trailed.
Corey Hassan scored 17 points and Chauncey Hardy had 13 for Sacred Heart (3-6).
Ryan Litke drained a 3-pointer that pulled Sacred Heart within 68-65 with 51 seconds remaining. Battle then hit a driving layup and was fouled with 18.7 seconds left. He hit the free throw, and Pringle then made two more foul shots for the game's final points.
