Uncasville (AP) - University of Connecticut guard Renee Montgomery is expected to be one of the top picks in the WNBA draft.
The draft starts at 3 p.m. Thursday and Atlanta has the top pick.
Montgomery, Oklahoma's Courtney Paris, Maryland's Kristi Toliver and Marissa Coleman and Louisville's Angel McCoughtry are considered the top prospects.
The Connecticut Sun have the 10th, 17th and 37th picks in the draft and are looking to add some depth in the front court.
It will be tough for many of the draft choices to make a team this season.
The Houston Comets folded in the offseason and rosters league-wide have been slashed from 13 to 11 players, leaving 39 fewer jobs.
