Storrs (AP) - A co-captain of Connecticut's football team has been arrested after a fight at an off-campus apartment complex.
Scott Lutrus, a 21-year-old linebacker who led the team with 106 tackles last season, was charged Thursday night with interfering with police.
According to the arrest report, Lutrus and his 23-year-old brother with involved in a fight at the Celeron Square apartments. Police say that when officers attempted to detain them, the brothers became combative.
The arrests were among 19 made during the first night of UConn's annual Spring Weekend festivities, a traditional weekend of partying just before final exams.
Messages left for Lutrus at the university were not immediately returned. It could not immediately be determined if he has an attorney.
