(WTNH) - At one time the UConn Huskies men's basketball team was ranked as one of the top five teams in the country, now they have to pull together in order to make it to the NCAA Tournament.
"We have six games left, four of them at home, so we feel like we're in a good position," said George Blaney, UConn Assistant Head Coach.
UConn will have to play like they did in the second half of last night's win over DePaul. They also need to stop falling into droughts like they have done throughout the season.
"Sometimes I'm just not seeing the effort, and take things for granted," said Shabazz Napier, UConn Point Guard.
Napier says he often looks to Kemba Walker for advice.
Walker said he went through the same frustration his sophomore year when playing for UConn. That year, the Huskies missed the NCAA Tournament."
This is a different team, that's not going to happen," said Napier.
If the season were to end now, the Huskies would qualify for the NCAA Tournament, but with each game that could change.
