STORRS, Conn. (WTNH) -- One UConn football player says it's not going to be tough to get up for this week's game.
The Huskies are playing Maryland, now coached by former UConn coach, Randy Edsall.
Edsall built that program, but there are some who feel the way he left was not cool, including Edsall.
Saturday, Edsall will face his former school and former players for the time since leaving them behind two years ago at the Fiesta Bowl.
Tuesday, during a conference call Edsall said if he could do it over again he wished there was an opportunity to meet the players and tell them face-to-face.
He says it's something he has to live with.
Edsall also said he will forever be indebted to the State of Connecticut and UConn for the opportunity to be head coach.
