STORRS, Conn. (AP) — Michala Johnson, a seldom-used forward at Connecticut, has transferred to the University of Wisconsin.

Wisconsin coach Bobbie Kelsey announced the move this week on the Badgers' website.

The 6-foot-3 Johnson saw action in 56 games for the Huskies over two seasons, averaging 1.4 points and 1.4 rebounds.

She will sit out the 2012-13 season due to NCAA transfer rules, but will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Kelsey said he expects Johnson to contribute as soon as she is eligible to play.
