Storrs, Conn. (WTNH) - A UConn football player has been suspended from the team and will not play in the fall.
Jerome Junior was to be a redshirt senior safety, but the school says he was suspended for a violation of team rules.
The Baltimore native was fourth on the team in terms of tackles; he had 60 in 2011.
Junior is no longer enrolled at UConn as a result of this violation.
UConn did not disclose what the violation was, and they had no further comment on the situation.
