Thabeet 2nd in 1st round for Grizzlies

    (WTNH) - UConn's Hasheem Thabeet was selected by the Memphis Grizzlies as the second pick, in the first round, of the NBA draft.

     

    According to The Hartford Courant, Thabeet, 22, joins Emeka Okafor as the highest draft pick in UConn history. Okafor was selected second by the Charlotte Bobcats in 2004 and went on to be named NBA rookie of the year.

    UConn's Jeff Adrian and A.J. Price have not been drafted yet.
