STORRS, Conn. (AP) — The University of Connecticut has reached an agreement with regional cable network SNY to televise the school's women's basketball games.

The four-year deal marks an end of the school's relationship with Connecticut Public Television, which had been broadcasting the women's games for the past 18 years.

The agreement, announced by the school on Tuesday, calls for SNY to pay $4.55 million in rights fees, about $1.14 million for each of the four years of the contract, which runs from the 2012-13 season through 2015-16.

SNY already carries some UConn football and men's basketball games through rights granted by the Big East Conference to ESPN Regional Television.
