HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) — Garvey Young scored 15 points and Ike Azotam and Jamee Jackson each turned in a double-double to lead Quinnipiac to a 67-56 nonconference victory over Colgate on Wednesday night.
Ousmane Drame scored four points and Jackson and Shaq Shannon got three apiece during a 10-0 run by the Bobcats (3-4) that expanded a 40-33 lead to 17 points, 50-33, with 6:51 left to play.
The Raiders (3-6), who trailed 31-26 at halftime, got no closer than nine points the rest of the way and have lost three in a row.
Azotam had 12 points and Jackson 11, and both had 10 rebounds for the Bobcats, who out-rebounded Colgate 46-34.
Quinnipiac also had a lot more chances at the free-throw line, making 25 of 38 to the Raiders' 10 of 15.
Murphy Burnatowski and Mitch Rolls led Colgate with 12 points each.
