2 injured in car vs. motorcycle crash

WALLINGFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Two people were sent to the hospital after a car and a motorcycle collided.

The accident happened around 5:30 a.m. on South Colony Road in front of a Dunkin Donuts.

The accident occurred when a Ford Mustang tried to pull into the Dunkin Donuts parking lot, cutting off the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist swerved right, but the two collided with the motorcycle hitting the front end of the car.

The motorcyclist sustained a head injury and was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

The operator of the Mustang was transported to Mid State Medical Center, but has since been released.

Witnesses are being asked to call Officer Anthony Baur at 203-294-2817.
