3 people under trauma alert after Woodbury crash

    WOODBURY, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Woodbury road was shut down after a multi-vehicle accident that sent five people to the hospital Friday.

    The three-vehicle accident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Flander Road.

    Police said five people were transported to area hospitals. Three were taken to Waterbury Hospital under trauma alerts, while the other two were taken to St. Mary's.

    No additional information is available at this time.
