WESTPORT, Conn. (WTNH) -- A car crashed into a building in Westport Friday evening.

The incident happened around 5 p.m., at the Landsdowne Condominiums, on Post Road East.

Upon arrival, responders found a black Infinity G37X into a large trellis and up against the building with the driver walking around.

Officials said the vehicle came to rest partially on the corner of the building and damaged some exterior lighting along a walkway.

The town building official, building owner and a flatbed wrecker were called to the scene.

A hydraulic jack was used to raise the trellis off the car. It was secured using wood shoring, which allowed the wrecker's operator to remove the vehicle from the scene.
