Car crashes into Westport building

WESTPORT, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Bridgeport man was charged with DUI after he crashed his car into a building in Westport.
George Arias, 53, had to be extricated from his car after it crashed into a building at 468 Post Road East in Westport around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Police say Arias had non-life threatening injuries and he refused medical treatment at the scene.
Arias was arrested and charged with failure to drive in the established lane and DUI. He was released after posting a $500 bond.
A town building official, the building's owner, CL&P and a flatbed wrecker were sent to the scene to stabilize the building, as well as repair a telephone pole that was damaged in the crash.
