Car fire on I-91N at Exit 13

WALLINGFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A portion of Interstate-91 northbound was closed near Exit 13 due to a car fire.

Photos from the scene show flames shooting from the car and a large plume of smoke climbing into the air.

Witnesses tell News 8 that the occupant(s) of the car got out safely. The incident happened around 2:30 p.m.

As of 4:15 p.m. all lanes were reopened as the scene has been cleared.
