PLAINFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A juvenile was taken to the hospital after being struck by a car that jumped a curb in Plainfield Friday.
The accident occurred just before 5 p.m., on School St., in the Central Village section of Plainfield.
Police said the victim, a juvenile male, was walking with his friends when a black, four-door car with dark tinted windows jumped the sidewalk and struck the male.
The car then continued to travel eastbound on School St. towards Route 12.
The victim was taken to Backus Hospital for injuries to his right side and leg.
The victim's identity has not yet been released.
The incident is under investigation.
