Fatal crash closes Route 9 in Berlin

BERLIN, Conn. (WTNH) -- State police are investigating the cause of a fatal multi-car crash that closed a portion of Route 9 Tuesday afternoon.

The accident happened shortly before 2:00 p.m. At least two cars were involved.

The northbound side of the highway was closed between Exits 21 and 22.

At least one person is dead. The victim has not yet been identified.
