Crash in Somers kills one

SOMERS, Conn. (WTNH) -- Connecticut state police are investigating a deadly accident in Somers.

One person died in the crash, which happened just before midnight Monday night on Four Bridges Road near Hall Hill Road.

According to police, the car, an Acura Integra with Virginia license plates, was going south on Four Bridges Road when it went off the road and collided with trees three times before it finally stopped.

That section of road was closed for several hours overnight as police looked over the crash scene.

The name of the person killed has not been released. Police say no other vehicles were involved.
