WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) -- A motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle has left one person in critical condition, police say.
Shortly before 10 p.m. Friday, police responded to an accident involving a 2000 Honda Accord and a 2006 Kawasaki ZX636 at the intersection of Oak Street and Rose Street.
Luz Mary Rivera-Diaz, 23, turned left from Rose Street in the Honda when it collided with a motorcycle traveling south on Oak Street.
Alec Gridley, 28, was operating the motorcycle and he was transported to St. Mary's Hospital for treatment of multiple injuries, including chest and internal truama. He is listed in critical condition.
Rivera-Diaz was taken to Waterbury Hospital where she was treated and released for back and neck injuries.
The crash remains under investigation and no charges have been filed.
