ROCKY HILL, Conn. (WTNH) -- A 23-year-old was killed in a crash that shut down I-91 in Rocky Hill Monday night.
23-year-old Jessica Zderkiewicz was a passenger in the car that was heading southbound around 9:30 p.m. Monday night when the car veered over and struck another car.
The impact caused the car to roll over several times before coming to a stop off the road. The second car spun out of control and also came to a stop off the right side of the road.
In the impact, Zderkiewicz was ejected from the car and died as a result of her injures. The car's driver, 28-year-old Richard Lewicki, suffered minor injuries and was transported to Hartford Hospital.
The driver of the second car was not injured.
The crash closed down I-91 between exits 24 and 23 for several hours Monday night into Tuesday morning.
