WESTPORT, Conn. (WTNH) -- Route 33 in Westport was closed for nearly 20 hours after a delivery truck backed into a telephone pole.
It happened around 10:30 a.m. Officials say the pole snapped from the impact and took down power lines when it fell.
The road was closed between Route 1 and Route 57 while crews are on the scene. The road was reopened around 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.
No one was injured in the crash.
440 CL&P customers lost power as a result of the accident. Power has since been restored.
