BLOOMFIELD, Conn. (WTNH/AP) — A Bloomfield home suffered serious damage after a car slammed into it Wednesday night, sparking a fire.
Fire officials say the accident occurred at about 11 p.m. on Tyler Street. The driver of the car, 43-year-old Mariano Correa, was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford with non-life threatening injuries.
The two people living in the house were able to escape uninjured. However, the house was ruled uninhabitable due to fire damage.
It's not clear what caused the accident. No charges have been filed, police say.
The incident is under investigation.
