EAST WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) -- A drunk driver crashed into a bicyclist late Saturday night, police say.
Shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a 2007 Dodge Charger and a bicyclist. The collision occurred near 265 Main Street.
Police say that Tara Sylvester, 22, was traveling northbound on Main Street, when she collided with a man on a bicycle, Jay Albert, 52, who was going in the southbound direction.
Albert was rushed to Hartford Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Sylvester was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
Police continue to investigate the incident and additional charges may be pending.
