EAST LYME, Conn. (WTNH) -- A multi-vehicle accident Sunday morning has left one dead and resulted in a DUI arrest, police say.
A car, driven Christina F. Morton-Lane, 24, crossed over the grass along the I-95 exit 72 on-ramp and collided into a motorcycle traveling southbound on I-95.
Another motorcycle directly behind the initial collision struck the first motorcycle, causing both passengers to be ejected from the first motorcycle.
Robert Burr, 35, who was the driver of the first motorcycle, was pronounced dead on the scene. The passenger on that vehicle was transported to Hartford Hospital via Life Flight with serious, life-threatening injuries.
The two occupants on the second motorcycle were transported to L & M Hospital with moderate injuries.
Morton-Lane, the driver who caused the accident, did not sustain any injuries, but she was arrested for driving under the influence.
The accident remains under investigation.
