EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A car accident early Saturday morning has left one dead and two injured, police say.
The accident happened overnight when a car was entering I-84 east from Routes 5 and 15 north at exit 58.
Police say that the car veered off the road for an unknown reason and crashed into a metal beam gaurdrail.
Two passengers, Demetrich Finley and Tyshown Phillips sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Hartford and St. Francis hospitals, respectively.
A third passenger in the vehicle, Eric Foster, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Hartford Hospital. He died a short time later as a result of the injuries.
Any witnesses to the accident are urged to call the Connecticut State Police at 860-534-1000.
