Elderly man struck, killed by vehicle in Manchester

    MANCHESTER, Conn. (WTNH) -- An elderly man died after being struck by a vehicle in Manchester Tuesday morning.

    The accident occurred shortly after 6 a.m., in the area of Middle Turnpike and Adams St.

    Upon arrival, police discovered that 70-year-old Ronald Gayson, of 635-C Center St.,  had been struck by a vehicle heading eastbound on Middle Turnpike.

    Gayson died as a result of the accident.

    The incident is under investigation.
