ROCKY HILL, Conn. (WTNH) -- An elderly woman lost control of her vehicle Tuesday night and remained in that vehicle overnight until police found her Wednesday morning.
Anne Deleo, 73, told police that she felt ill while driving along I-91 south and lost control of her vehicle.
The vehicle veered off the road and continued until it became trapped in shrubbery about 200 feet off the highway.
Deleo remained in the vehicle through the night, until she came out Wednesday morning. She proceeded to crawl up the embankment and was found sitting on the rope guide wire by police early Wednesday morning.
She was transported to Hartford Hospital for the treatment of minor injuries.
The accident happened near the exit 25 off-ramp and the vehicle was not visible from the roadway.
