I-84 west shut down after car fire

VERNON, Conn. (WTNH) -- Traffic was stalled when a car caught fire on I-84 westbound near exit 66 in Vernon.
Traffic was briefly halted while firefighters went to work to extinguish the flames coming from a white van.
One lane of traffic was opened shortly after firefighters arrived on the scene.
No one was injured in the incident.
The accident was cleared around 2:40 p.m.
