NORWALK, Conn. (WTNH) -- A New Jersey woman was killed in a collision on I-95 south in Norwalk Sunday morning.
Ines Franco was just two days shy of her 30th birthday when she was killed in a three vehicle crash around 3:40 a.m. Sunday morning.
Police say Franco, who was on a motorcycle, was driving to the right shoulder when she was struck by a Ford Taurus. She was ejected from the bike and landed in the road.
A second car collided with Franco's bike after she had been ejected.
Franco was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police say she was traveling with two other friends on motorcycles and the group was pulling over because one of them had a flat tire.
The road was closed for several hours while police were on the scene. Traffic was backed up into Westport and drivers were being rerouted to Route 1 to avoid the highway.
The crash is under investigation.
Any witnesses are asked to call police at 203-696-2500.
