Jackknifed truck closes part of Route 2 in Bozrah

BOZRAH, Conn. (WTNH) -- The eastbound lanes of Route 2 in Bozrah were closed early Tuesday after a tractor trailer jackknifed.

The crash happened before 6:00 a.m. between exits 22 and 23. The road was cleared around 9:45 a.m.

Lt. J. Paul Vance tells News 8 a man had pulled over on Route 2 to relieve himself and when he was getting back into his car, he was struck by the tractor trailer.

The man, who has not been identified, was taken to Providence Hospital by LifeStar. His injuries are thought to be serious.
