BERLIN, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that took place in Berlin Saturday night.
The accident occurred around 11 p.m, on Route 372 (Mill St.), in the area of the Route 9 southbound off ramp.
The crash was reported by a witness who saw the motorcycle abruptly crossing from the eastbound lanes across the westbound lanes, and then traveling off the roadway on the north side of the highway.
Police said the motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the crash and there were no passengers.
The victim, who was identified as 66-year-old Charles Matlack, of East Berlin, sustained fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The accident is under investigation.
