PLAINFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are investigating an early morning rollover in Plainfield that left one man trapped inside his vehicle.
The accident happened around 6:35 a.m., on Canterbury Rd., approximately 1/4 mile from Black Hill Rd.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel found the vehicle's driver, 38-year-old Gregory A. Botello, of 48 Wright Rd., Canterbury, trapped inside the vehicle.
Emergency personnel were able to safely remove Botello from the vehicle. He was then taken to the Plainfield Backus Emergency Facility for non-life threatening injuries.
According to police, initial investigation revealed that Botello was traveling eastbound on Canterbury Rd. in his 2004 Jeep Liberty when he veered off the right ride. The vehicle then sideswiped a large tree and proceeded down an embankment before coming to rest on its side.
Police said Botello was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
